Welcome to my personal webpage
I was born in the tiny city of Cuautla, Morelos in 1989. After some existential diatribes, I settled on pursuing a career as a theoretical physicist.
Nowadays, I'm working on the foundations of quantum mechanics at the Instituto de Ciencias Físicas, UNAM Campus Morelos, in the picturesque city of Cuernavaca.
My main research line is the geometrical and algebraic description of quantum optical systems, in particular, optomechanical cavities, quantum QED, and time-dependent evolution. So far, I'm interested in the mathematical and axiomatic foundations of quantum theory, as well as the analytical and computational solutions to diverse systems with the potential to be incorporated and developed as quantum technology in the ongoing human revolution.
I'm involved in teaching and outreach activities, trying to be an influence on the young people to get close to the theoretical and computational research in physics.
Please don't hesitate to explore the resources in this space, and you can reach me for more detailed discussion in my email box, alejandro[at]icf.unam.mx
